A Grand Ole Opry Christmas Premieres on Hallmark: Nikki DeLoach and Kristoffer Polaha Bring Country Magic to the Countdown to Christmas
A Grand Ole Opry Christmas: A Heartfelt New Hallmark Premiere
The holiday season shines even brighter this year with the debut of A Grand Ole Opry Christmas, a touching story that combines the nostalgia of country music with the warmth of the holidays. Premiering Saturday, November 29 at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel, this brand-new film is part of the network’s beloved Countdown to Christmas event, bringing fans the perfect mix of emotion, music, and festive charm.
A Story of Music, Memories, and Christmas Magic
Gentry Wade, played by Nikki DeLoach, is the daughter of the late country music legend Jett Wade—half of the iconic duo Winters & Wade. After her father’s tragic accident thirty years ago, Gentry walked away from her dream of songwriting and distanced herself from the musical world that once defined her.
When the Grand Ole Opry invites her to honor her father during its Centennial Christmas Celebration, Gentry hesitates. But with encouragement from friends, she returns to Nashville and finds herself drawn back into a world filled with bittersweet memories.
As she sits in the Opry’s famous oak pews, something extraordinary happens—she’s transported back to 1995. There, with her lifelong friend and music manager Mac (Kristoffer Polaha), Gentry experiences the Christmas miracle of a lifetime. She gets the chance to reconnect with her father, rediscover her creative spark, and uncover long-hidden truths that change her understanding of the past.
Cameos from Country Legends
No Opry-inspired movie would be complete without appearances from real country music stars! A Grand Ole Opry Christmas features special cameos by Bill Anderson, Brad Paisley, Pam Tillis, Mickey Guyton, Rhett Akins, Suzy Bogguss, and more beloved Opry performers. Fans of both Hallmark movies and country music will love spotting these icons as they share the stage and celebrate the heart of country storytelling.
A Must-Watch in the Countdown Until Christmas Lineup
With its blend of heartfelt emotion, time-travel magic, and timeless country songs, A Grand Ole Opry Christmas is one of this season’s standout Hallmark premieres. Nikki DeLoach and Kristoffer Polaha bring warmth and authenticity to their roles, reminding viewers why Hallmark’s Countdown Until Christmas remains a treasured holiday tradition year after year.
