The holiday season just got even sweeter with the announcement of Christmas at the Inn—formerly titled Cranberries and Carols—coming to Great American Family as part of the 2025 Countdown Until Christmas movie lineup. Premiering on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 8/7c, this charming new Christmas romance brings together fan favorites Jill Wagner and Trevor Donovan for a story filled with nostalgia, small-town warmth, and holiday magic.
If you love cozy winter settings, rekindled romance, heartfelt storytelling, and the signature feel-good moments that define Great American Family and Hallmark-style holiday films, Christmas at the Inn already deserves a spot on your 2025 countdown to Christmas watchlist.
A Sweet and Sparkling Christmas Story
Christmas at the Inn follows Emma (Jill Wagner), a café owner who returns home for her town’s beloved Christmas potluck—a tradition filled with recipes, decorations, and memories that span generations. What begins as a simple trip home becomes something much more meaningful when Emma comes face-to-face with James (Trevor Donovan), the man she once went on a disastrously awkward blind date with… twenty years ago.
Their reunion is unexpected, humorous, and nostalgic in all the best ways. And as the pair reconnect during the town’s festive celebrations, it becomes clear that the Christmas season may be offering them something rare—a second chance at love.
It’s the kind of heartwarming, full-circle romance that fans adore: a mix of past misunderstandings, long-lingering feelings, and the gentle nudge of holiday fate reminding us that love isn’t bound by time—it just needs the right moment.
A Story Filled with Charm, Heart & Holiday Magic
One of the reasons Christmas at the Inn is generating so much early excitement is its blend of holiday nostalgia, cozy romance, and small-town charm. With its snowy backdrop, community traditions, and heartwarming second-chance love story, the film captures everything viewers look forward to in seasonal programming.
The setting itself—Emma’s quaint hometown—acts as a character in its own right. There’s the historic inn decorated with twinkling lights, the aroma of cinnamon and hot cider from local cafés, and the warmth of neighbors who treat holiday traditions as a gift meant to be shared. For viewers who treasure the comforting holiday vibes of Christmas in the Smokies or A Harvest Wedding, this movie will feel like coming home.
