What Christmas Under Construction Is About
Chelsea (Jessica Lowndes) and Jake (Adam Hurtig) are America’s sweethearts and the stars of a hit reality show called Renovation Romance, where they help couples transform their homes and their relationships. For a live Christmas special, the pair are tasked with renovating a cozy New Hampshire cabin alongside a new duo, Cooper (Daniel Lissing) and Janice (Samantha Kendrick).
Behind the festive cheer, though, Chelsea and Jake’s own relationship is quietly falling apart. As the project goes on, it becomes clear to Chelsea that she and Jake want very different things, and she has to decide whether their relationship can be saved or whether it is time for a fresh start. Working side by side with Cooper only makes those questions louder.
